Shamanic Training with Incan SHAMAN Mary Raymakers

Whenever someone expresses an interest, I offer shamanic training.  I require a sponsor in order to this.  A sponsor will set up the location where the classes will be held as well as find a minimum of 12 people as students.  I will assist in finding additional people since people frequently express to me an interest in learning the shamanic methods. Do know that as the Master Shaman instructor, I am the only one who has the final say on any and all areas of the training, including who will be participating in the classes.  ALL are welcomed.  I encourage anyone who is interested to embark on this incredible, life-changing experience. 

The apprenticeship is a one-year commitment with taking 4 core classes of 5 days per class offered every 3 months.  After the first class, new students will be allowed into the second class without having had the first class, although the first class will need to be made up.  No new students are allowed into the series of training after the second class.  You are called a full mesa carrier when your training is complete.

You will learn a different technique in every class as well as work on your own personal growth and development as a shaman.  By becoming a shaman and adapting the shamanic lifestyle, it will enhance all aspects of your entire life.  On the personal side, the classes are structured to first clear out the pain and trauma of your past along with what you inherit through your parents/ancestors (heart problems, addictions, cancers, etc.).  It takes 2 classes to do this.  The other 2 classes are designed to assist you in stepping into who you really are and creating the life you want to be living.

The techniques you will learn how to work with energy and heal others are

1. Deep Luminous Cleanse (DLC)

Learn what the luminous field is and how to clear out the pain and trauma from the past

2. Extract  Crystallized as well as Fluid Energy

a. Crystallized energy is best described using the phrase “so and so stabbed me in the back”—using this example, the energy of betrayal is so thick and heavy that as it is being directed at someone, it takes on the shape of a weapon, such as knives, spears, axes, etc. that gets lodged in the energy field of the person that it is being directed at.  This can eventually lead to physical problems.

b. Fluid energy is 2 different kinds

i. For example, when there is such heavy energy in a room after a bad argument, it is so heavy that it feels like you can cut the air with a knife—and if you sit in that energy long enough, it will put you in a bad mood.

ii. For example, when someone dies and is concerned what will happen to their family, when they are leaving their body, they can gravitate towards a family member to help them and end up attaching to them instead of getting to the other side.

3. Soul Retrieval

When someone has gone through an extreme trauma, the soul can’t stand to go through it and a piece of it will break off in order to not go through it and keep itself intact.  It will go back to the womb of the Mother, Mother Earth, where it is safe until it can come back to the person.  You will learn how to bring it back.

The soul going through this will make an agreement with itself—a contract—made under this extreme stress and duress that doesn’t fit them very well.  An example of this would be when someone has been badly hurt in love, they will say “I will never love again.”  The soul will hold you to this contract until it is changed which can create a lot of problems in your life.  You will learn how to change these contracts that no longer work into something much more life affirming and enhancing.

4. Death Rites

When the physical body is ready to expire, the energy field is supposed to leave the body to go back to Source.  However, often in today’s world, the energy field will get either trapped in the physical body or won’t make it to the other side.  You will learn how to assist the energy field to get back to Source.  This is one of the greatest gifts a client can give you and is an honor for the shaman.

In these classes, you will be working on other students in the classes.  Therefore, this training is extremely experiential.  This is one of the core beliefs of a shaman—every aspect of being a shaman is based on experience.  In Peru, the shamans believe that the only way you can be a shaman is through experience and can’t be learned from a book.  It is in this vein that the classes are designed.

In Peru, an apprenticeship used to be set up very differently, although there are some who still will use the traditional method today.  In the past, a Master shaman would take on an apprentice after careful consideration and extraordinary expense to the student.  Once accepted, the apprentice would spend all their time with the Master—plowing fields, building homes, picking potatoes, going to town for supplies, etc. and occasionally learn a technique of healing someone brought to them that is sick—so that the learning took place through every aspect of their lives.  This can take YEARS before the training is complete.   However, the Peruvian shamans now believe that we no longer have that kind of time on the planet and have approved the Western way of teaching this in a classroom setting.

So even though the training takes place in a significantly shorter timeframe, I take the extra care necessary to make sure that my students get passed onto them everything I know-- all the things I have learned through my own experience as well as all I have learned through my different teachers over the years.
